New to Methods and Spec Mathematics Stage 1

Join experienced mathematics educator Deb Woodard-Knight for an in-depth exploration of Stage 1 Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics on Monday 23 March. This session will be particularly valuable to teachers with emerging experience in these subjects and those transitioning into these subject areas.

In the workshop, Deb will share her experience and guide discussion with fellow educators, focusing on strategies to strengthen teaching practice and improve learning outcomes for students undertaking these subjects. The group will;

• Look at the Stage 1 topics 1 – 12 which lead to Stage 2 Methods and Stage 2 Specialist
• Explore the development of SATs at Stage 1 – looking at complex and routine balance
• Consider the creation and use of Investigations – getting the reasoning and communication going ready for Stage 2 / year 12
• Review the use of Graphics Calculator and technology
