The Mathematical Association of South Australia is pleased to acknowledge the valuable support of the businesses and organisations that champion the mathematical education profession. We encourage our community to support these business members, who have chosen to actively invest in the future of mathematics education in South Australia.
SmartLab is a complete diagnostic, teaching and learning platform that has supported hundreds of primary and secondary schools across Australia in the delivery of mathematics, literacy and science. Aligned to the SA and V9 curriculum and syllabus, it enables departments to assess student performance, identify learning gaps, and support ongoing improvement through a structured, data-informed approach.
SmartLab uses diagnostics to adapt to individual student needs. Whole curriculum (year-level) diagnostics measure pre and post-growth across syllabus outcomes, while topic-based diagnostics provide detailed insight into specific skills before, during, and after teaching a unit, supporting targeted teaching and intervention.
The platform includes over 1,000 curriculum-aligned learning activities, incorporating fully voiced instructional videos, infographics, and targeted practice questions. Based on diagnostic results, SmartLab generates personalised learning pathways to address gaps and reinforce key concepts. Resources are available online and offline, supporting homework, classroom instruction, and independent learning.
An intuitive teacher dashboard enables teachers to assign work and monitor student, class, and cohort performance, including progress, trends, and engagement. Students access their own multi-device platform at school or at home.
SmartLab is supported by a team of educators who assist with onboarding, ongoing professional development, and integration into teaching programmes.
