With the conclusion of the 2026 MASA Annual Conference, we want to extend a huge ‘thank you’ to our host venue, Morialta Secondary College, for providing such a wonderful space for the event. We are grateful to our exhibitors, whose support and showcases add immense value to the Conference, and to our delegates, whose energy and commitment to mathematics education made the two days a resounding success.

Importantly, we want to thank our incredible presenters. The success of this Conference rests on their willingness to share their expertise, successes, and insights with the wider teaching community. Reflecting on the program, the two days covered an exceptional breadth of ideas, including:

• Strategies to manage the transition to new curriculum structures, including changes to SACE and the South Australian Curriculum.
• Navigating the emergence of new technology, from implementing the newest range of calculators, to exploring the practical applications and assessment challenges of generative AI.
• The use of games, tile puzzles, and hands-on challenges to spark curiosity and underpin important mathematical principles across all year levels.
• Culturally responsive teaching practices.
• Essential classroom routines and differentiation frameworks tailored specifically to support and build confidence in early career teachers.
• Connecting abstract mathematical concepts to real-world scenarios, such as the mathematics of bushfire behaviour, and financial literacy program design.
