AI Chatbots in the Maths Classroom (Years 7–12)

The Mathematical Association of South Australia is pleased to offer a host of professional learning sessions led by our highly trained and experienced teachers

Our team is known for its expertise and professionalism, providing sessions focused on effective teaching strategies, differentiation, and engaging hands-on activities to inspire student learning.

Led by Kate Sheppard (Adelaide Botanic High School)

This session explores how AI chatbots can enhance teaching and learning in Years 7–12 Mathematics. Building on Kate’s Annual Conference workshop, this session welcomes both new and returning participants. As part of a pilot program using EdChat Apps, Kate will share examples of how AI is being integrated into classroom practice and helping students develop mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills.  Attendees will leave with actionable strategies and inspiration for how AI tools (including tools beyond EdChat) can support both learning and engagement across a range of year levels.
