This workshop is about the practice of trying maths live in front of other people without knowing in advance the answer or exactly how to get there, something I have been doing for many years with students one-on-one and in lectures and workshops, and also on social media. We will discuss the benefits of this approach for making thought processes more explicit and for making maths and maths teachers more human, and you will have your own turn at trying maths live.
