Workshop Details

• DATE & TIME: Monday 1st  June 2026 – 9.00am to 3.00pm

• LOCATION: MASA, Building D, 80 Payneham Road STEPNEY  5069 (Free Parking available on site)

Workshop Overview

Throughout the day, you will work with Michael to unpack both sides of the debate:

• prioritising explicit teaching of skills and concepts , or
• adopting a problem-solving approach that encourages inquiry and discovery

looking at how they operate in practice and how they impact student understanding, confidence, and achievement. Through practical examples, classroom scenarios, and collaborative discussion, we will challenge the idea that this is an “either/or” decision.  This workshop is best suited to teachers working across Foundation to Year 9.
